I am a composer, film scorer, and songwriter. My genres are ambient, electronica, and melancholy synth-pop. I specialize in musique concrète, which is a process of composing with found and field-recorded sound as an instrument. I come from a background of having played piano since my earliest memories—piano finds its way into nearly all of my compositions. Thematically, my work ranges from songs about heartbreak and grief, to more concept-driven work about subjects like flying monsters and the honey’s fumes. In one way or another, most of my personal songs are about my dear dog Dessner, who passed away in October of 2022.
